Chronic venous disease (CVD) is a common condition affecting the adult population in both industrialized and developing countries. In conjunction with the 18th Congress of the Asian Society for Vascular Surgery (ASVS) 2017, a precongress venous workshop was held on 25 October 2017 at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, with the aim of providing vascular surgeons with updates on modern techniques and current therapeutic options for the management of CVDs. This venous workshop was led by Professor Ngoh-Chin Liew, Dato’ Dr Teik-Kok Hoand Dr Limi Lee, and saw 12 short lecture sessions by renowned stalwarts in the field of vascular surgery.
