The Lancet has launched a special series issue that highlights the global HIV epidemic among sex workers, a key but overlooked population for HIV prevention. The series – launched at the 20th International AIDS conference in Melbourne – consists of seven papers that aim to investigate the complex health issues faced by sex workers worldwide, and calls for the decriminalization of sex work, in the global effort to tackle the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Administration with continuous infusion of piperacillin/tazobactam effective in paediatric patients with fever and neutropenia, according to a study. A significant higher probability of target attainment were obtained in longer infusion compared with shorter infusion rate in all doses.
