The change will mean more patients being labelled with hypertension.

Kawasaki disease linked with higher risk of coronary artery disease in adult men

A higher prevalence of coronary artery disease (CAD) was reported among adult men than women with Kawasaki disease (44.7 vs 12.1 percent; p=0.03), a study shows. Hypertension was  the single independent predictor of CAD in this population after adjusting for other risk factors on multivariate analysis.
