Automated EWS systems: Facilitating rigorous monitoring of patient vital signs

Overcrowding of hospital wards, particularly in the general and emergency department, is becoming increasingly commonplace, which makes it difficult for healthcareproviders (HCPs) to provide timely and quality healthcare to all patients. The Early Warning Score (EWS) is a physiological track-and-trigger scoring system which facilitates early intervention. This article discusses how EWS can improve patient outcomes, focusing on the benefits of automated EWS systems.
