Curative Resective Procedures

• Anterior and medial temporal lobe resection
  • Effects: Approximately 70% of the patients become seizure-free
• Resection of epileptogenic focus based on electroencephalogram (EEG) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Effects: Approximately 50% of the patients become seizure-free

Palliative Procedures

• Corpus callosotomy, subpial transection
